Privacy Policy
Scope and operator
Nova Research helps students plan and return to research projects. This notice describes this app, together with the shared Nova ID account where used. Operator: Prospered J and J LLC. Location: California, United States. Contact: Support@weprospereai.com. This remains a draft pending the operational and international review described below.
Information and purposes
Nova ID identity/profile information, interests, research questions, coursework self-ratings, feasibility and logistics information, deadlines, plans, progress, notes, revision messages and generated outputs. AI features send relevant project context and messages to Anthropic. Optional email nudges use a recipient address resolved from Nova ID when enabled, along with opt-out preferences and delivery information. Information is used to provide the requested features, maintain accounts and saved work, respond to support, and protect the service. Hosting and security systems can process IP addresses, request times, URLs and device/browser details.
Planned outcome measurement
Planned outcome measurements: awards, the number of professors contacted, and productivity. Only a contact count is requested, not professor names or addresses. Productivity and award-reporting definitions remain to be specified. Measurement features are planned, not certified as implemented. The intended public use is aggregate results without account-specific disclosure. Define consent or other applicable basis, access, retention and aggregation safeguards before collection. Do not publish an illustrative percentage as an actual result. Future apps require their own specification.
Service providers and sharing
Vercel (hosting); Nova ID (identity); Upstash Redis (project records); Anthropic (AI generation); Resend (optional email nudges when enabled). Only providers enabled for a feature should receive the information necessary for that feature. Owner review required: verify the production provider list, processing locations, contracts and any AI retention or training settings. Authorized support personnel may access information to resolve a request. Disclosures may also be necessary to comply with law or protect people and the service; requests must be reviewed before disclosure.
Cookies, browser storage and third parties
Sign-in services use session cookies. App preferences, cached work and offline changes may be stored on your device. Clearing site data or blocking cookies can sign you out or remove unsynced work. Third-party links and enabled embeds operate under their own policies. Owner review required: confirm each deployed tracker, browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control behavior, and whether any sale, sharing for targeted advertising or cross-site tracking occurs before making a definitive disclosure.
Your controls and requests
Edit project details in the app. Where email nudges are enabled, use their unsubscribe link or available preference controls. Unsubscribing does not delete research records. Use the support channel for access or complete deletion requests. Access, correction, deletion and other rights may depend on where you live. A request may require proportionate identity verification; never send a password or identity document by ordinary email. Deleting one app, signing out, cancelling a subscription and deleting Nova ID are different operations.
Retention and security
Approved policy, pending implementation: signing in to any Nova app resets the suite-wide inactivity timer. Free accounts inactive for more than 100 days are suspended; signing in reactivates an account suspended for inactivity. No automatic deletion occurs because of inactivity. Paying accounts remain retained while payment continues. Warning emails are planned at 10, 25, 50, 75 and 95 inactive days and describe suspension, not deletion. Treatment of an existing inactivity timer when a paid account becomes free remains to be finalized. Deleted content is removed from normal access immediately when deletion takes effect; remaining copies are purged within 60 days of that event, except narrowly defined records that must be retained by law. Such exceptions require documented purpose, access restrictions and a retention period. Storage, backups, providers and offline copies must support these rules before they are published as effective.
Children and eligibility
Intended users are aged 13 or older; users under 13 are not allowed. International availability is intended, with country-specific requirements to be reviewed separately before international rollout. Eligibility checks and any additional requirements for teenage users must be implemented. Publishing this policy does not itself enforce eligibility.
Changes to this notice
The final notice must show its effective date. Material changes should be communicated through the service or an appropriate direct notice, with consent obtained where required. This draft is not a certification of compliance.
