SUPERNOVA · Draft prepared September 7, 2026

Terms of Service

Who provides the service

Nova Research helps students plan and return to research projects. The provider is Prospered J and J LLC, based in California, United States. These proposed terms are not effective until implementation, remaining decisions and the final acceptance flow are completed.

Eligibility and accounts

Users must be 13 or older. International availability is intended, subject to a later review of applicable requirements. Provide accurate account details and keep credentials secure. The process for teenage users and any required parent or guardian authorization remains to be finalized.

Your work and permission to operate the service

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant the service only the permission needed to store, process and display that content to provide the features you request, including sharing or export you choose. Do not submit content you lack permission to use, another person’s private information, or confidential records inappropriate for this service. Removing a share link cannot remove copies others already saved.

Acceptable use

Do not harass, threaten or exploit others; upload unlawful content; impersonate someone; bypass access controls; introduce malware; or use the service to compromise other users’ data. Respect school rules, intellectual-property rights and applicable law. Report suspected security issues privately through the support channel when it is available.

App-specific limits

AI can produce inaccurate sources, methods and statements. Verify outputs and comply with school academic-integrity requirements. Approval flags are prompts to consult your coordinator, not research clearance. Do not upload identifiable participant data or conduct hazardous research based on app guidance.

Generated content and external services

Check generated material and calculations before relying on them. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Third-party sites and providers have their own terms; links do not imply endorsement. You are responsible for reviewing work before submission or sharing.

Payments and service changes

Only a clearly presented and authorized checkout can create a paid purchase. Review Payments & Refunds for the current draft status. The service may change or be interrupted; keep copies of important work. Any material change affecting an existing paid commitment must be handled consistently with that commitment and applicable law.

Suspension and ending use

Signing in to any Nova app resets the suite-wide inactivity timer. Free accounts inactive for more than 100 days are suspended, and signing in reactivates accounts suspended for inactivity. Inactivity does not automatically delete data. Paying accounts remain retained while payment continues. Separate restrictions may apply for misuse, security incidents or legal requirements; signing in does not automatically remove those restrictions. Cancellation, data deletion and inactivity suspension are separate operations. These rules await implementation.

Consumer rights and disputes

Nothing in these proposed terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These drafts do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, a chosen court or a liability cap. International legal requirements and dispute provisions remain subject to review before final publication.

Contact and revisions

Use Contact & Privacy Requests for support and legal questions. Material revisions need an updated effective date and suitable notice; merely publishing this draft does not obtain a user’s agreement.
